Education Director
Position summary:
The AYCC’s mission is to build a generation-wide movement to solve the climate crisis. To achieve this the AYCC has a dual approach: mobilising young people to advocate for short-term political change to reduce emissions, and educating and empowering young people to create long-term cultural change and a more sustainable and just society.
During their three-month contract, the Education Director will drive the creation of an educational program focused on long-term cultural change. The Education Director will be a Melbourne based, 3 day per week role. The role will initially be offered with a 3-month contract, the extension of which will be dependent on the Education Director’s ability to secure funding.
In May the AYCC will embark on a long term strategic planning process. The Education Director will play an important role in the long-term strategic planning process. Within the long-term strategic planning process, the Education Director will be responsible for the administrative management of the planning process, and for leading the process in the development of a strategy for leveraging the education sector to create long-term cultural change.
