This December, we’re going global!
|
Our movement in Australia is just one part of a global picture. AYCC International is part of the international movement to solve the climate crisis. This year, we’ve got a team heading to the UN climate talks in South Africa to launch some ambitious new projects and help create a more effective and connected global movement.Make sure you sign up to receive our updates from South Africa by filling the form to your right. Since 2007, the AYCC has been a part of the international youth climate network. We’ve taken Australian youth to the UN climate talks in Bali, Poland, Copenhagen and Cancun. AYCC youth delegations have met with negotiators and the Government to present the youth view and pushed for climate action at the international level. However, we know that what happens at the UN is usually set by what climate policies each country already has. Therefore, we need strong climate movements in each country that are pushing each country to take stronger action on climate change at home. We’ve just got our government to put a price on pollution – we need to make other countries all over the world do the same! That’s why we’re supporting national youth climate organisations around the world. To do this, we’re investing in young community organisers all over the world through the following projects: • A website and online communications tools so we can share our ideas, videos, and campaign success stories.
