Dan Adams

Dan is passionate about creating a sustainable and equitable future. Dan was the 2008 Young Victorian of the Year for his work initiating and directing the 2006 Make Poverty History Concert, which reached over 20 million people and inspired 50,000 young Australians to sign up to the global campaign to end extreme poverty. In 2009 Dan worked with AYCC to run Youth Decide, which gave 37,000 young Australians the opportunity to vote for the world that they want to inherit. He has also worked in South Africa setting up the Schools 4 Schools project with the Oaktree Foundation, has organised an MTV documentary exploring the key issues facing young people in South Africa, given the Victorian Human Rights Oration and completed an internship with the Garnaut Climate Change Review. Dan is studying Aerospace Engineering and Economics at Monash University and plans to work in renewable energy and sustainable development.
