*Workshop Slots will have 5-6 workshops or discussions. We will be sourcing external and internal trainers so we can’t give you a final breakdown until closer to the date. Each workshop slot will have AYCC’s standard workshops for people who haven’t been to AYCC’s training camps before and additional discussions and workshops for those who have.

AYCC standard workshops include: Personal Narrative, Communicating Climate Change, Call-outs, Recruitment, Theories of Change, Delegation, Campaign Strategy, Meeting Facilitation, Group Organising and Holding an Event.

Additional workshops and discussions include: Media training, Email writing, Salsa Training, Frontline Organising, Branch Structure, Democratisation of Branches, Understanding NVDA, Grassroots Fundraising, Speakers Training, Sustainable Activism, Anti-Oppression and Field Organising.

**Open Space is a space where you can add your own discussions, skill shares or workshops. Already there are many ideas for the open space but you’re more than welcome to add your own on the day, these currently include: workshops like Music and Activism, documentary Just Do It, discussions (e.g., how to engage over 23s or using stories to reach new communities) and planning sessions (e.g., working with schools or Port Augusta walk logistics).

The best ideas come from bringing bright young people together. We will have a whiteboard for you to write any great ideas you have for making AYCC even better at building a generation wide movement to solve the climate crisis.

What to bring
All rooms come with doonas, linen, towels and soap and they are serviced every day, so you need only bring clothes, toiletries, a notepad and pens and a laptop (if you prefer to take notes this way). There will be lockers in the rooms to keep valuables safe. All meals are included but please do bring change for extra snacks and public transport.
