Power Shift was launched with a bang, with events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra. In Sydney actor Jess Tovey came along to show her support, and our event made it onto the back page of the Sydney Morning Herald.
(17 August 2011) – As about 20 supporters watched, former Home and Away actress Jessica Tovey took centre stage for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition to launch its national recruitment campaign in Hyde Park and urge young people to attend Power Shift – Australia’s largest ever gathering of young people calling for climate change action – in Brisbane and Perth in October.
