Very soon, a decision on the carbon price is going to be finalised and announced to the public. We need to make sure that every politician who has the power to make or break this deal knows that we want a price on pollution that invests in renewable energy

We’re mobilising thousands of young people to put in calls to Labor Senators in the next 24 hours. We have volunteers in offices across the country and a national support team on standby. This is our moment, and together we can have an impact!

Join the campaign – follow these three steps and put in a call to a politician:

Step 1: Choose a politician to call

We’ve selected the Labor politicians who we think your message of support will have the most impact on. We recommend choosing one from your State or Territory.

Step 2: Read the talking points

Here are some suggested points to cover when you make your call:

  • Hi, My name is [Name] and I’m calling to show my strongest support for a price on pollution that invests in renewable energy.
  • I know that [Politician's name] is getting bombarded with messages from vested interests against a price on pollution, but I want him/her to know that his/her community, and the vast majority of Australians, want strong action on climate change.
  • I really support [Politician's name] pushing for a strong price on pollution that kick-starts a transition to clean energy, because that is what our community wants. Please ask [Politician's name] to talk to members of the Multi-Party Climate Change Committee and advocate for a price on pollution that invests in renewable energy and our future.
  • As a movement, we have connected with hundreds of people in your community, and we have seen 45,000 Australians come together for a strong price on pollution that invests in renewable energy – and in the next months we will talk to thousands more.
